Evangelicals & Voting

Evangelicals unwisely act as if how they vote has no direct relationship with their professed faith, and nothing could be further from the truth.

As Dr. Albert Mohler said during his presentation at the 2022 Pray Vote Summit, if Evangelicals are not practicing Stewardship and Discipleship when they vote, they will inevitably vote wrongly.

Voting wrongly is no small or trite issue because it reveals the unfaithful nature of our walk with Jesus Christ.

I can not imagine a scenario in which Jesus Christ would give license for one to cast a ballot for a Democratic political candidate.

He could have done so until the 1970s, as there were not many material differences in the policy positions of candidates from both of the major political parties in America.

That was then, and this is the reality of our political climate today. The Democratic Party's political positions are wholly antithetical to compatibility with Evangelical doctrine and doctrines that are of the first order of importance.

There is no wiggle room for the genuine, God-fearing Christian Brother and Sister to part ways with an "agree to disagree" mentality and just mosey off into the sunset.

Instead, flags have to be planted and tough conversations must be had as eternity literally hangs in the balance.
