Evangelical & Partality

You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.
Leviticus 19:15
These also are sayings of the wise. Partiality in judging is not good. Proverbs 24:23
To show partiality is not good, but for a piece of bread a man will do wrong.
Proverbs 28:21
So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality.
Acts 10:34
Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him. Ephesians 6:9
My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.
James 2:1
But if you show partiality, you are sinning and are convicted by the law as transgressors. James 2:9
How many times does it take for God to state something is sin for it to register and have real gravitas? Actually, it takes only one, yet the Bible is replete with demonstrating that God abhors partiality.
When Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck for an inordinate amount of time, we were rightly outraged because the response did not seem to warrant the offense.
When the three Caucasians chased Abmaud Arbery down like a wounded dog, we were rightly outraged because the response did not seem to warrant the alleged offense.
Yet when a Caucasian slaps an AA, we (primarily if not exclusively AAs) give the response a free pass, with some celebrating and hiding behind self-defense and standing up as a man-centric false bravado.
Yeah, so we celebrate a mob of people stomping a man in the head while lying on the ground.
Yeah, we justify and excuse attacking a female when she comes to the man’s aid, lying on the ground.
Miss me with your hypocrisy and lack of critical thinking.
This was a public event, and all public events have a police presence. Individual citizens are not trained in proper de-escalation techniques and serve as poor peacekeepers in most cases, especially when alcohol is involved.
Professing Christ-followers miss me with your profound lack of understanding or even consideration for the principle of an eye-for-an eye.
God ordained the principle of an eye-for-an-eye, also known as lex talionis or the law of retaliation, to limit the response to an offense.
For example, if my animal gorged out your eye, you could not slaughter all of my livestock in response.
So, self-defense of a slap is limited to restraining the offender, and maybe a slap in kind, but there is no escalation, especially when the offender is in a vulnerable position of lying on the ground.
What threat is the offender presenting while on the ground?
What threat is a female attempting to render aid?
My parents raised me better, so I would NEVER participate in a mob action. Just because everyone else is acting a fool would NEVER incite me to join the lawlessness of any kind.
Defending oneself ensures the minimum level of force is employed to protect oneself. Not stomping a man while lying on the ground or attacking a female trying to render aid.
I most definitely would never allow race/ethnicity to enter into my thought equation, as I understand there is only one human race, so miss me with the whole down for the cause stupidity.
I will be going to Heaven one day (all due to Christ, not me, so no bragging or hubris on my part). There will not be an AA section where the homeboys isolate themselves from the Caucasians or Latinos brethren, so I am acting accordingly now because one of the most basic tenets of Christianity is loving the brethren without hypocrisy or partiality.
So y’all keep on with your I am keeping it real for the brotherhood spiritual nonsense.
You will soon get to hang with your homeboys. Hell is for those who consciously decide to go there.
Everyone has a chance to repent but refuses to do so. So this is on you, and you will have no one to blame but the person you see in the mirror every day.
Maybe spend more time in a Bible study or attend a Bible preaching Church than blabbering on social media, making a fool of yourself, and clearly signaling you care more about supporting the tribe than true righteousness and justice.
