Evangelicals & Public Education

Some things defy explanation and easy comprehension. One such thing to my mind is how the Democrats are ardently against School Choice for the average American, yet almost exclusively send their children to private schools and get away with it, writ large.

It defies understanding because it is beyond the pale, but Americans, especially those beholden to Plantation Mentality, continue to fall right in line with the Party rhetoric. All done, as my dear Sister in Christ, Carolyn Stewart, famously says, "Against our own self-interest."

This tomfoolery is an inside job, and the real losers are our children. Well, I pledge to do everything in my power to ensure that my present grandson and all future grandchildren never grace the doors of a public school as students.

I posit that it is only possible because the cause is spiritual, not intellectual or economic. Despite the Bible warning of the need to be wise to the Devil's wiles, this required discernment is rarely on display in the public square.

Momma always told me that, "You have to do better when you know better." Well, the Scripture says it even more forcefully, "When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways."

I love me some Momma, but I will plant my flag on God's Word; it, not Momma's eloquence, has power to cut to the marrow.

The quintessential definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Thus, I am DUN with the Public School System, period, full-stop, and end of story.
